How long have you been involved here?
I have been serving alongside the parents and youth workers of Jasper’s First Baptist since August 2010.
What attracted you to JFBC?
The Holy Spirit of God never let this church or town out of my mind. I heard about this ministry opportunity through a friend of Pastor Dennis. I did some background checks on Pastor Dennis with those that he has worked with and I received some great reviews. After visiting JFBC, my wife Lindsey and I were drawn to the graciousness and genuineness of the people. Already knowing the inward call of God, it was great to see God be faithful by confirming His call outwardly through this local body of believers as well.
Tell us a little bit about your family?
My beautiful bride Lindsey and I wed on August 01, 2009. The marriage ceremony took place a few miles outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. Lindsey is from Raleigh and we met there through the College and Singles ministry of our local church. Currently, we do not have any children. But we are more than happy to love your kids and minister to them alongside of you.
What is your preparation and background for ministry?
I graduated from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Communications Leadership. Previously, I was a History Major. However, God led me to change my major after accepting the call to the ministry in 2004. Directly following Shorter, I attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. While at Southeastern, I graduated with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry while extensively studying biblical counseling.
What do you enjoy doing outside of church?
I enjoy working out at Solid Image and walking the neighborhood with my wife. Now to the answer for the most important leisure time question in Alabama, I am a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and Lindsey loves the Duke Blue Devils like none other. The good news is no team has anything on the good news of the resurrected Christ.
