What does your ministry involve?

I serve as Senior Pastor of FBC. I provide leadership to the staff and spiritual guidance to this 2400 member congregation.

What is your passion / goal for your ministry?

To glorify God in all that I do. My life verse is 2 Timothy 2:15.

How long you have been involved here?

The church called me to First Baptist in May 2010.

What attracted you to JFBC?

First Baptist is a wonderful church with some outstanding Christian leaders. This church has a long

history of being an influential church in our community, our state convention and throughout the Southern Baptist Convention.

Tell us a little about your family?

Married to Marybeth Frahler of Atlanta Georgia in June 1982. We have three children. Andrew, graduate of Virginia Tech, VA. Matthew is a Senior at Samford University in Birmingham. Grace is a Junior at Walker High School.

What is your preparation and background for ministry?

I became a believer and follower of Jesus Christ at Evergreen Baptist Church in Evergreen, Alabama. After several years of growing as a believer, I was called into the ministry, liscensed and ordained at Evergreen Baptist Church. I am a graduate of the following schools:

I have now served churches in Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and Texas over the past 29 years. It is the greatest privilege of my life to serve as the pastor of a local congregation.

What do you enjoy doing outside of church?

I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard and playing an occasional game of golf.
